Cut-Out Allied Naval Units
Cut-Out Allied Naval Units

These Canadian-made cut-out paper toys capitalized on children's interest in the war and also avoided using metal or other materials essential to the war effort.

No instructions were packaged with this example of the toy, which includes ships, sailors, and a flying boat (centre right, lower). Although the cut-outs are identified as "Allied Naval Units," all of the ships with the exception of the submarine (centre right, middle) fly the White Ensign used by Britain's Royal Navy or Canada's Royal Canadian Navy.
