1812 presents a dramatic new account of the War of 1812, as seen through the eyes of its Canadian, American, British and First Peoples participants, for whom it had surprisingly different meanings and consequences. By comparing these perspectives, the exhibition offers visitors a richer and deeper understanding of a conflict that shaped Canada’s destiny.

Content : 38 artifacts including uniforms, medals, weapons and accoutrements, musical instruments, models of battle and ship and more.
