From Headlines to History at the War Museum War Correspondents: News from the Front

Ottawa, Ontario, September 21, 2011—In celebration of CBC/Radio-Canada’s 75th anniversary, the Canadian War Museum and the Canadian Museum of Civilization are partnering with the public broadcaster to host “From Headlines to History,” a conference series on some of this country’s great moments and their impact on Canadians.

On Thursday, September 29, join foreign correspondents Nahlah Ayed (CBC), Raymond Saint-Pierre (Radio-Canada) and War Museum historian Andrew Burtch as they discuss the current and historical context of war reporting. The conference will be moderated by Lucy van Oldenbarneveld (CBC) and Michel Picard (Radio-Canada).

The conferences are open to the public and admission is free. Simultaneous interpretation will be available. Free tickets are available in limited quantities at the Museums’ Box Offices or by calling 819-776-8600. Limit: 4 tickets per person, per conference.
