- Additional Information A founding member of the Canadian Group of Painters in 1933, Ogilvie headed the art school at the Art Association of Montreal from 1938 to 1941. An official war artist from 1942 to 1946, he was awarded the MBE for his depictions of the Canadian experience of the war in Europe. He subsequently resumed his Toronto teaching career.
