- Additional Information Born in Carleton Place, Ontario, in 1894, Breadner was released from the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1919. The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) commissioned him as squadron leader on its formation in 1920. He served in a variety of senior capacities during the Second World War, and was promoted to air chief marshal on 25 November 1945. He died in 1952.
