- Additional Information Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Arnsdorf enlisted in 1943. After extensive training in Canada and England, he was finally assigned to the 1st Battalion, Canadian Scottish Regiment, on 7 June 1944, and embarked for France the next day. He was killed in action on 8 July and is buried in the Canadian Military Cemetery at Beny-sur-Mer, France.
