- Additional Information Private Kenneth Cambon was 17 when captured at Hong Kong, along with other members of the Royal Rifles of Canada, on 25 December 1941. He was a prisoner of war for the next four years. Imprisoned in Niigata, Cambon stole this Japanese surgical kit and kept it hidden during his imprisonment, where he used it to treat diseased and injured prisoners. He became a doctor after the war.
