Additional Information
Frederick McMeekin was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on 26 November 1892.
A fireman, McMeekin enlisted in the Canadian Army Medical Corps in Ottawa on 22 February 1915. He was killed at Courcelette on 27 September 1916, during the Battle of the Somme. His body was not recovered.
Frederick McMeekin is commemorated on the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, on Vimy Ridge, in France.
