- Inscription CANADA'S SAILORS SHOW THEIR SKILL/ For the first time in ten years, east and west coast ships of Canada's Maritime Command joined forces in the Spring of 1966 for exercises in waters off South America and the West Indies. In a demonstration of precise seamanship, the operational support ship HMCS Provider transferred fuel simutaneously to the aircraft carrier Bonaventure and helicopter-destroyer Skeena. The screening ships are, clockwise, the Kootenay, St. Croix, Saguenay, Stettler, Antigonish, Nipigon, and Restigouche. On board the ten ships are more than 3000 Canadian sailors.
