Gabain, Ethel (1882-1950)

Born in Le Havre and a student at the Slade and Central Schools in London, Gabain was a successful lithographer and painter. She was commissioned to produce lithographs on the subjects of evacuation and the WVS. Gabain also undertook painting commissions, including a portrait of Alexander Fleming.
