HMCS Montréal

This photograph shows the newly-launched frigate HMCS Montréal at Saint John Shipbuilding, in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Some of its equipment remains to be installed. The ship's masts (centre left) will receive antennas for radar, radios, and other electronic equipment. Saint John Shipbuilding headed the consortium that built the 12 Canadian patrol frigates in two batches of six, although three of the ships from the first batch were built by MIL-Davie Shipbuilding near Quebec City.
