Don’t miss this action-packed day of activities inspired by the Armour exhibition! Watch demonstrations of historical European martial arts by the Ottawa Historical Fencing Society, whose members spar (safely!) using modern and traditional equipment. Hone your own medieval battle skills in educational workshops (ages 12 and up). Come meet one of Canada’s very own heralds from the Canadian Heraldic Authority, and learn about coats of arms, flags and badges! Visit the craft area to make and decorate your own armour and test your skill in the Kids Zone. Come in your own armour-inspired costume and have your face painted by On Scene FX.
Demonstrations (20 minutes): 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Workshops (approximately 1 hour): 11:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. (Maximum 10 participants per session. Registration on site).
