Kids love building forts! Bring your family to the Museum for a day of awesome fort construction, using Mega Bloks®, Imagination Playground blocks and even gingerbread!
Forts are fun, which is why kids love building them! Spend an Awesome Sunday with your family at the Canadian War Museum, learning about and making defensive fortifications. Young engineers-in-training and accompanying adults can help construct a giant fort out of Mega Bloks®. Or, use our new Imagination Playground blocks to design and build anything you like! These large but lightweight foam shapes are a great way for children to explore their creative side, fitting cubes, bricks, cogs, curves and cylinders together to create new forms. Young builders with a sweet tooth can warm up with hot chocolate and make an edible fortress to take home. We’ll help you turn graham crackers and gingerbread into ramparts and parapets, and use marshmallows, candies and icing to embellish your yummy creation.
This program is part of the Awesome Sundays series, presented by the Friends of the Canadian War Museum. Awesome activities for the whole family!
