The Canadian War Museum will be hosting a bilingual academic conference in January 2019. A Country Shaped by War: Canada 1919 is planned in conjunction with The Last 100 Days exhibition and to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. It will feature both international and Canadian historians, such as Margaret MacMillan, Michael Neiberg, Catriona Pennell, J.L. Granatstein, David Bercuson, and Tim Cook. The speakers will explore a wide range of topics, including the return of Indigenous veterans, the War’s impact on French Canada, nurses’ contributions during the war, and the many legacies of the First World War.

Thursday evening’s special lecture will feature Dr. Margaret MacMillan.
