About the Exhibition

Fourteen portraits by artist Elaine Goble capture the personal legacies of the Second World War veterans and survivors she has met throughout her career. These images also testify to the physical, psychological and emotional impacts of the conflict. Some are traumatic, others triumphant, but all are part of the collective legacy of the Second World War.

An exhibition developed by the Canadian War Museum in collaboration with artist Elaine Goble.
