Captain Sir William Howe Mulcaster

Captain Sir William Mulcaster, Royal Navy

Captain Sir William Mulcaster served as second in command of the Royal Navy squadron on Lake Ontario. He distinguished himself at the battle of Crysler’s Farm in 1813 and the storming of Fort Oswego in 1814, where he lost a leg. Mulcaster was knighted for his services after the War of 1812.
