Craig, Sybil (1901-1989)

Craig studied at the National Gallery of Victoria School between 1924 and 1931. Appointed an official war artist in 1945, she chose to stay in Australia to record home-front activities, working at the Commonwealth Ordnance Factory in Maribyrnong, Victoria. She depicted women working at various risky tasks including the making of cordite and detonators.
