RAPATRIATED
The end of the war allowed young Canadians to return to civilian life. This
smiling group photographed in Calcutta, India, had more than 23 years'
overseas experience between them; 17 of these in India, Burma and Ceylon.
In recognition of their contribution to the final victory, the British
government presented a "Certificate of Appreciation" as seen
above, to every RCAF radar officer and airman.
