In June, Canada honours the history, heritage and diversity of Indigenous peoples during National Indigenous History Month. It is also an opportunity to recognize the resilience of present-day Indigenous communities.

National Indigenous History Month is a time to reflect upon and better understand the history, cultures, contributions and strength of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Explore the Canadian Museum of History’s exhibitions and programs related to Indigenous cultural heritage, both at the Museum and online.
