November 11th holds a special place in the hearts and minds of all Canadians as we pause to reflect on the loss and devastation of war. The majority of us have never faced battle. But we understand the debt owed to our Military Services that fought bravely for us in two World Wars, Korea and recently in Afghanistan. Canada would not be the country we enjoy today without their sacrifice.
We’ll Never Forget was written for children but appeal to readers of all ages. Canadians will be inspired by the stories of heroism told first-hand by members of our Military from both World Wars, Korea Peace Keepers and Afghanistan.
By interviewing each of the men and women featured in the books, Jean learned that at the core of every Military member is a sense of duty. Their portraits promote the positive character attributes that educators can infuse into their curricula.
