Witness to History – Korean War Veterans

Witness to History – Korean War Veterans

Between February 16 and 18, visitors can participate in the “Witness to History” program, by speaking with Canadian veterans of the Korean War to learn about their experiences.

The year 2013 marks the 60th anniversary of the armistice that ended the Korean War. For Winterlude, visitors can view giant Korean lantern outside of the Canadian War Museum that highlights the friendship and cultural relationship that has united Canada and Korea for many years.

The lantern is presented by the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival, the Jinju Art and Culture Foundation and Jinju City in South Korea, in partnership with the National Capital Commission.
