In the first destination-led program of its kind in Canada, Ottawa Tourism has partnered with La Tablée des Chefs to launch À la Carte, a coordinated food recovery program that recovers surplus food from the hospitality industry to support members of the community facing food insecurity.

The program offers venues who host large events a tool to help build relationships with local community organizations and provides a link to donate surplus food from events. La Tablée des Chefs works closely with each donor and organization to ensure a food recovery process that is sustainable, safe, organized, and easy to implement into participating venues’ operations.

The Museum applauds its catering partners who are participating in this meaningful and impactful initiative, specifically My Catering Group, internal caterer, as well as Les Flavoureux and The Westin Ottawa.
