The Navy Today (1990-2010)

The sudden end of the Cold War brought significant changes for Canada's navy, which nevertheless continued to fulfill national commitments to alliance operations. In 1990-1991, it formed part of the international coalition that ousted Iraqi forces from Kuwait. Beginning in the 1990s, new vessels and equipment entered service, helping to renew the fleet.
