Indigenous veterans answered the call to serve. Remembrance now calls on each of us to act.
Join Bougie Birch for a meaningful family activity that explores the meaning of National Indigenous Veterans Day, through dialogue, reflection and artmaking. Learn about Indigenous military service, remembrance, and reconciliation through the experiences of a Sahtu Dene veteran and Sixties Scoop Survivor.
Create and decorate a paper “bead” with your personal commitment, then add it to a collective beaded poppy symbolizing remembrance, reconciliation and healing.
Please note that all activities are subject to change without notice.
