Go back in time and explore the War of 1812.

Watch re-enactors from the 100th Regiment of Foot as they demonstrate the steps for firing a 19th century musket. Inside the Museum, explore the War of 1812 with a giant interactive floor map, courtesy of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Talk to re-enactors in costume and explore their display.

Musket demonstrations – 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Activities in LeBreton Gallery – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This program is part of the Awesome Sundays series, presented by the Friends of the Canadian War Museum. Awesome activities for the whole family on the last Sunday of every month!

Roads around the Canadian War Museum will be closed on the morning of May 29 for the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. The Museum will remain open. We encourage visitors to park nearby or take public transportation and access the Museum on foot.
