This year, June 6 marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy. It was the largest Allied operation of the Second World War, which began in Normandy, France.

Every Thursday through Sunday, from June 6 to 23rd, the film D-Day: Normandy 1944 will be presented at the Barney Danson Theatre.

D-Day: Normandy 1944 looks at how the landings of Allied troops changed the course of the war. Exploring history, military strategy, science, technology, and human values, this film is sure to engage and inform audiences of all ages.

D-Day: Normandy 1944 also fulfills a duty of memory and of gratitude by paying tribute to those who gave their lives for freedom.

Screenings of D-Day: Normandy 1944 are included with Museum admission and have a duration of 40 minutes. They are offered in English and French.
