A Knight’s Tale (2001, 2h 24m, PG), in English
Peasant-born William Thatcher (Heath Ledger) begins a quest to change his fate, win the heart of an exceedingly fair maiden (Shannyn Sossamon) and rock his medieval world. With the help of friends (Mark Addy, Paul Bettany, Alan Tudyk), he faces the ultimate test of medieval gallantry — tournament jousting — and tries to discover if he has the mettle to become a legend.
Les visiteurs (1993, 1h 43m, PG), in French
Godefroy de Papincourt, Count of Montmirail (Jean Reno), is a 12th century Gallic knight who finds himself transported to 1992, along with his dim servant, Jacquouille la Fripouille (Christian Clavier), when a wizard’s spell goes awry. Startled and perplexed by modern technology, Godefroy and Jacquouille run amok, destroying cars and causing chaos until they meet Beatrice de Montmirail (Valérie Lemercier), an aristocratic descendant of the nobleman, who may be able to help them get back to 1123.
Organized in partnership with Capital Pop-Up Cinema. In case of rain, the screenings will be moved inside the Museum.
