Korea 65

Plan Your Visit

The year 2018 marked the 65th anniversary of the Korean War armistice, which ended three years of fighting between North Korea — supported by China and the Soviet Union — and the United Nations forces supporting South Korea. About 30,000 Canadians served with the UN during the war.

This exhibition presents a selection of wartime photographs that depict Canada’s participation in the Korean War, the uneasy ceasefire that followed the 1953 armistice and the war’s enduring legacy. It complements the Museum’s gallery displays about the Korean War.
