Immerse yourself in the captivating world of scale plastic models! Discover enthralling miniature works of art — from pieces of history to flights of imagination — crafted by local, national and international hobbyists.
Visit the model competition in the LeBreton Gallery, or check out the silent auction, vendor gallery and hobby club displays in other parts of the Museum.
Since 2017, visitors and competitors have gathered at the War Museum to participate in Ottawa’s long-running premier scale plastic model contest. CAPCON is hosted every two years by IPMS Ottawa, a local chapter of the International Plastic Modellers Society, founded in 1966.
Museum admission does not include the contest registration fee.
For full event details and categories, including how to enter models into the contest, please visit the CAPCON 2025 site.
