Admission Fees

As of September 22, proof of vaccination for anyone aged 12 and up will be required to access the Museum’s food services.

Visitors will be required to show proof of vaccination (Ontario residents), a vaccination passport (Quebec residents) or any other proof of vaccination (rest of Canada and international), as well as ID with name and date of birth.

Proof of vaccination is not required to visit the exhibition spaces and other public areas of the Museum.

Timed Online Ticketing

We are open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and until 7 p.m. on Thursday.

We look forward to welcoming you back, with access to all of our exhibition spaces.

Following provincial guidelines, and to ensure a safe and memorable experience for all, we are limiting the number of visitors inside the Museum through timed online ticketing. Ticketing is every 15 minutes, with access limited to 75 people at a time.

Admission is free on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., but a timed ticket is required — book yours online as early as Monday of the week you would like to visit.

For your safety, some interactive elements in the galleries are temporarily unavailable.

All visitors, including Museum Members, are required to have a timed ticket.

Please arrive at the Museum no earlier than 10 minutes before the entry time on your ticket. Late arrivals may not be permitted entry.

Upon arrival, visitors with tickets purchased online can go directly to the exhibition entrance to have their tickets scanned.

If you have not booked in advance, or prefer to book in person, admission will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Box Office.

There are no restrictions on the length of your visit.

The Canadian War Museum also offers free admission to:

  • Past and present Canadian military personnel, and to selected Commonwealth military personnel, as well as to two accompanying family members.
  • Canoo members (formerly Cultural Access Pass)
