Concert: ‘We Will Remember’

The Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Regimental Band of the Governor General’s Foot Guards, and the Band of the Royal Military College of Canada, are joining forces for a public concert to honour Remembrance Week. Through a musical journey, We Will Remember will recognize the bravery and sacrifices of Canadian heroes on November 2 at 1:30 p.m., in the Canadian War Museum’s LeBreton Gallery. Indigenous Veterans Day

Join us for a unique virtual event commemorating the history and contributions of Indigenous veterans in Canada. Listen to the personal story of Dustin Cote Brascoupe, an Indigenous Veteran from Kitigan Zibi, and discover how the history of Indigenous military service can be reflected through art. This event aims to honour and reflect on the history, contributions and sacrifices of Indigenous veterans through objects, works of art, and personal stories.

Memorial Hall Visitation and Livestream

Witness the illumination of the Unknown Soldier’s headstone. On Remembrance Day, at exactly 11 am, sunlight shines through a single window in Memorial Hall to frame the headstone representing Canada’s Unknown Soldier. This moving event will also be broadcast within the Museum and streamed live at warmuseum.ca/remember and facebook.com/warmuseum. Commemorate Indigenous Veterans Day: An Interactive Experience with Adrian Stimson’s Work

Discover Adrian Stimson’s installation. Join us for an interactive activity focused on Adrian Stimson’s installation of works titled Master Corporal Jamie Gillman 2010, 10,000 Plus, and Corporal Percy Bedard 2010. Learn about the history of Indigenous contribution to the Canadian Armed Forces through an artist’s lens, and take part in an interactive activity that will make you reflect on the importance of commemorating Indigenous Veterans Day.
