A TRAVELLING EXHIBITION DEVELOPED BY THE CANADIAN WAR MUSEUM
Outside the Lines brings together works by Canadian women war artists from the 19th century to the present day, examining the influences and experiences that shaped their art. The exhibition explores their perspectives on conflict, while linking their personal stories to the works they created.
Curated largely from the Canadian War Museum’s Beaverbrook Collection of War Art, Outside the Lines features a broad range of women artists from across the country, including Mabel May, Molly Lamb Bobak, Pegi Nicol MacLeod, Lillian Yano Blakey, Paraskeva Clark, Joyce Wieland, Shelley Niro, Rosalie Favell, and Gertrude Kearns.
