The Armistice Centennial – A Musical Commemoration

The Friends of the Canadian War Museum invites you to The Eleventh Hour, a commemoration of the centenary of the end of the First World War, one of the most devastating conflicts in world history.

Featuring the Cantata Singers of Ottawa, with music composed and conducted by Andrew Ager, this multimedia event will be introduced by War Museum historian Dr. Tim Cook, who will set the scene for the war’s final 100 days.

The Armistice on November 11, 1918 marked the end of the Great War, while ushering in a period of major political change and social upheaval. With a nod to music of the early 20th century, along with extensive new material, The Eleventh Hour is an evocative memorial to the war years and a brave new world.

Come early to enjoy music by OrKidstra in the Lobby of the War Museum.
